A VIRTUAL TOUR OF THIS BEAUTIFUL 5,900,000 € TUSCAN CASTLE

On the rolling hills of Tuscany, with an incredible and unrivaled view over the historic centre of Siena, one of a kind 13th-century medieval castle with annex and 1.4 ha of Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG  vineyard. The castle is currently run as a B&B and offers a total of 12 bedrooms.

The castle was built in the early 13th century as a keep defending the city of Siena. The first notable mention of the fortress is in 1313 when the castle was besieged by Henry VIII of Luxemburg, who was, however, unable to conquer it. From that moment, the castle was passed from family to family until the final confrontation between Siena and Florence in 1555. The Spanish forces captured the castle a first time but were quickly driven away. The second and final conquest marked the fall of Siena and the end of the war. From then onward, the castle lost its defensive role and became a luxury countryside manor.

The castle comes with a 17-hectare plot of land. This is split among arable land (13.2 ha, including a beautiful Italian garden and a small wood), olive grove (400 trees) and Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG vineyard (1.4 ha).
