DESCRIPTION OF THE BUILDINGS


The main building dates back to the 16th century and belonged initially to the Mateus Palace’s possessions. The building have been adapted for an enotouristic type of business (four apartments in total) with ample interior and exterior spaces for events and celebrations.

The wine cellar, traditional in style, also houses a wine tasting room. There is nonetheless the possibility of building a modern cellar to improve wine production.

The estate covers a total surface of roughly 30 hectares, 20 of which covered in vineyards: the peculiarity of the estate is that the land spans over a planaltic territory, while usually vineyards in the Douro Valley are planted along the slopes of the hills.
